Venue Operations

  • API
    • API key permissions can now be scoped to specific APIs and actions, giving you greater control over integration access.
    • API access is now available for all Playground venues, making it easier to test integrations in a safe environment.
    • The Stock Product API now exposes the stock type, including (Food & beverage, Retail, Miscellaneous and Untagged), making it easier to identify F&B items in third-party integrations.
    • Gift cards and tips can now be managed via the ROLLER API, with support for the GoTab integration.
  • Compliance: E-Invoicing and E-Reporting capabilities are in development to support French regulatory requirements.
  • HQ: Discount Code Upload via HQ has been re-worked to optimise performance. You can now manually enter up to 1,000 codes via the UI, or 200,000 codes via the Bulk CSV upload. Also, discount codes stored in HQ can be enabled for group-wide utilisation via ticking the checkbox "Usage Limits apply across selected venues".
  • Payments: Venues can now manage their payment methods directly from Venue Manager, without needing to contact support.
  • Search: Venue Manager and POS now support accent-insensitive search, making it easier to find records regardless of accent marks.
  • Party Packages
    • You can now apply purchase limits to party packages, controlling how many can be sold through the online checkout.
    • Wristband and sticker printing is now supported for party packages, with printing triggered automatically at check-in.
  • Price Rules: Fixed an issue where price overrides couldn't be applied to packages and party packages.
  • Bookings
    • Fixed an issue where the year 2008 wasn't available in the date of birth field on RSVP forms for party bookings.
    • Fixed an issue where changing the session time on a POS ticket reset the custom unit price to the original product price.
    • Fixed an issue where party package inclusions were disappearing in Venue Manager when additional inclusions were added to the same booking.
    • Fixed an issue where a booking item's validity status wasn't updating to 'Valid' on the day of the session.
    • Fixed an issue where party inclusions were being duplicated when bookings were created through the Calendar or Daily Capacity view.
  • Discounts: Fixed an issue where the discount configuration appeared to revert after saving when setting up a gift card discount.
  • Gift Cards
    • Fixed an issue where gift card deferred revenue wasn't being generated for bookings that had a discount applied.
    • Fixed an issue where cancelling a complimentary gift card booking wasn't fully deducting the gift card deferred revenue.
  • HQ
    • Fixed an issue where HQ schedule changes will no longer override controlled venues' selected resources.
    • Fixed an issue so that staff are now able to refund gift cards that were issued by venues other than their own.
    • Fixed an issue to make the 'Days valid from date of redemption' setting editable by controlled venues, if HQ had not originally defined a value before the venues added it to their catalogue.
    • Fixed an issue with HQ Bulk Edit, where when editing parent product images it would not update variations that had not yet had an image set.
  • Memberships
    • Fixed an issue where membership revenue wasn't being fully recognized for some bookings in the Revenue Recognition Report.
    • Fixed an issue where standard passes were expiring at midnight the day after the expiry date instead of on the expiry date itself.
  • Online Checkout: Fixed an issue where standard passes with a set quantity showed as unavailable in the online checkout despite having remaining capacity.
  • Payments
    • Fixed an issue where card payments and payment links weren't working in Venue Manager.
    • Fixed an issue where payment links remained active for approximately one minute after a booking was cancelled.
  • Price Rules
    • Fixed an issue where party package time-based pricing couldn't be saved when one or more day prices were set to $0.
    • Fixed an issue where session passes used as add-ons weren't applying time-based price rules when the product wasn't in the online checkout product list.
  • Products: Fixed an issue where product instructions weren't appearing in the Insert Panel in Venue Manager.
  • Reporting: Fixed an issue where all employees were listed as 'Unknown' in the Staff Sales Insight report in Analytics.
  • Waivers: Fixed an issue where waiver and RSVP responses were removed from bookings when the associated party package was archived.

Guest Experience

  • Bookings: Bookings can now be automatically split evenly across available resources.
  • Online Checkout
    • Refund protection is now available as an optional add-on at checkout, giving guests peace of mind when booking.
    • The venue title now appears as a label in the overlay checkout, making it clearer to guests which venue they're booking with.
    • Fixed an issue where upsell items were being suggested multiple times in checkout when shared across multiple products.
    • Availability-led checkout is now available for escape rooms, VR, and other experience-based products.
    • You can now add call-out labels to ticket and stock variations in the online checkout to highlight key information or promotions.
    • You can now customise the wording in the online checkout to better match your venue's brand.
    • You can now customise the 'Products' heading in the online checkout.
  • Reporting: Google can now be tracked as a referral source in the All Bookings Report.
  • Stock
    • You can now record and track stock wastage in Venue Manager, giving you better visibility into stock losses.

  • Online Checkout 
    • Fixed an issue where the progressive checkout was displaying incorrect prices for products with price rules applied.
    • Fixed an issue where selecting an answer in the online checkout additional details form was clearing the previous radio button selection.
    • Fixed an issue where standard pass availability was appearing inconsistently in the progressive checkout.
  • POS
    • Fixed an issue where POS kept redirecting to the Device page and prompting for a manager pin.
    • Fixed an issue where the POS receipt subtotal incorrectly matched the grand total when a discount was applied.
    • Fixed an issue where the POS 'Add Items' button replaced existing items in a bowling booking instead of adding to them.
  • Receipts: Fixed an issue where a checkout assigned to multiple print stations on a single device incorrectly displayed the reprint label.
  • Emails: Fixed an issue where booking notification emails weren't sending when bookings were completed through the progressive checkout.
  • Integrations: Fixed an issue where GetYourGuide was misreading ROLLER resource capacity.
  • F&B Checkout 
    • Fixed an issue where the 'Convert to Tab' button appeared even when Tabs were disabled for the venue.
    • Fixed an issue where the print button wasn't appearing when the KDS was the only available print station.
  • Memberships
    • Fixed an issue where a membership code was stacking on top of an existing discount code in the progressive checkout when 'Can use multiple discounts' was disabled.
    • Fixed an issue where the master ticket was showing the incorrect session start time when added to a digital wallet.
  • Waivers: Fixed an issue where waiver forms allowed future dates to be entered as the date of birth for minors.
