Here's what you can do with our automatic scheduling feature:

  • Define your operating hours: From standard hours to extended holiday hours, public holidays, and temporary closures, manage all your operating hours in one place.
  • Align product schedules: The software adjusts product schedules to align with the set operating hours, eliminating the need for manual schedule changes for each product.
  • Maintain up-to-date schedules: A rolling update system ensures schedules tied to your operating hours are always current, without requiring manual updates.
  • Accommodate custom schedules: Even with the automatic scheduling feature, you still have the flexibility to create and manage custom schedules that operate outside regular hours.

Operating hours will save you time and improve efficiency in your venue management tasks, freeing you up to focus on enhancing the guest experience.

This automatic scheduling feature is now available for all new customers. And for our existing customers, we'll be introducing it to you shortly!

Default Activation of Smart Dunning: Maximize Membership Revenue

We're excited to announce an important change in our Smart Dunning feature, aimed at making your experience more seamless and profitable. Starting now, Smart Dunning, ROLLER's advanced machine learning tool for maximizing recurring payment collection and preventing involuntary membership churn, will be enabled by default for all venues using ROLLER Payments. This change will enhance your revenue collection process and maximize membership revenue by reducing involuntary membership churn.

Sell

  • Legacy Checkouts - Solved an edge case where some tickets were to be purchased above the set product limit.
  • POS - Package variations are now correctly showing as they do in Venue Manager and Legacy Online Checkouts.
    • Resolved an issue that prevented some users from logging into POS for short periods after logging out.
    • Credit card refunds against bookings with tips are no longer marked as unpaid.
    • POS now correctly enforces the "Edit past bookings" role permission.
    • Enhanced the POS to bring back the negative quantity of "sold out" session passes in POS after collaborating with venues.
    • POS no longer sends email receipts if configured as so.
    • Flags and bans text on guest records are now highlightable,  so they can be copied onto the clipboard.
  • Progressive Checkouts
    • Fixed an issue where consecutive sessions were not appearing.
    • Resolved a problem that prevented some guests from redeeming gift cards.
    • Enhanced the calculation of party package inclusions for guests at checkout.
    • Fixed a visual issue on date-led progressive checkouts which confused guests when there were no products sold on those days.
    • Guests are now properly limited to the minimum ticket purchase configurations set for the product.
    • Compulsory tickets are now enforced.
    • Conditional form fields are now correctly displayed for guests.
    • It resolved a problem that was causing time slot unavailability when a specific guest purchasing pattern occurred with ticket types.
    • Fixed an issue that made it difficult for guests to navigate to the next available date when the calendar function was used, or if the checkout had products on the second page.
    • Updated the terms and conditions checkbox to now be over two lines (still only one checkbox for guests) so that it's translatable for German venues.

  • POS -Solved an issue causing POS UI to collapse tickets during bulk redemptions.
    • Corrected the issue of SSK devices displaying in the POS.
    • Corrected the issue with incorrect icon display in POS search tabs.
  • Receipts - Updated receipts to show tipping options on reprinted receipts.
  • Recurring pass - Resolved a challenge with recurring passes showing under incorrect date
  • Refunds - Fixed an issue where a cancelled booking shows an amount owing
  • SSK- Updated styling when switching an SSK from Session Passes to Standard Passes.

  • Discounts - Fixed a visual issue that made the "Limit how many times the discount can be used" button appear unchecked, despite being checked.
  • Guest emails - Fixed an issue that sometimes caused the button for guests to update payment details to not appear on the membership failed payment email.
  • Email templates- Enhanced the Guest Invoice email preview to prevent edge case formatting errors.
    • The Guest Membership details email template now displays a "custom panel" field.
    • Template studio examples now visually align with the email templates.
    • Hyperlinks now appear as blue instead of grey.

Adjusting party bookings is now more flexible than ever!

We understand that last-minute changes to parties are inevitable, and managing them should be as seamless as possible. 

Until now, making changes to a party booking required staff to navigate away from the POS and towards Venue Manager, which was time-consuming and inconvenient. But with our newest update, these adjustments can now be made directly at the point of sale.

With our new enhancements for Party Package bookings at POS, you can:

  1. Edit the quantity of guests: Whether it's adding an unexpected guest or adjusting for a no-show, manage the numbers directly in POS to ensure your capacity is up to date
  2. Change party inclusions with ease: Tailor your party packages to suit your guest's needs without any hassle, such as changing pizza toppings to account for unexpected dietary requirements. The system will prompt you to adjust the food and drinks based on the updated guest count.
  3. Real-time billing updates: As you make changes to the party package, the total owing gets updated in real-time, allowing the POS operator to charge accurately.

Our aim with this enhancement is to speed up your party operations, improve efficiency at check-in, and above all, ensure a smoother, more enjoyable experience for your guests.

This Party Package enhancement is available now for all customers.

  • Addons - Fixed an issue for some venues where addons were not displaying properly in Venue Manager when making a booking.
  • Legacy checkouts - Resolved an issue where Worldpay or Valuetec cards were sometimes not accepted.
  • Legacy & Progressive checkouts - Corrected an error where some standard passes were not showing as available in the checkout, depending on sales cut-off time configuration.

    • Guests can now apply multiple membership discounts in one checkout.

    • PDF files can now be added as attachments to Product emails.
    • Fixed some issues impacting the booking confirmation email when the "Get directions" button was removed.
  • POS - POS devices can now have names beginning with special characters (e.g. #, &, or +)
  • Self-Serve Kiosk - Guests are no longer required to complete waivers when waivers are disabled from the kiosk.
  • Waiver Kiosk
    • Amended a fault that made the waiver kiosk stop working if left open for a significantly long time.
    • Made an optimization to increase performance when a guest entered a phone number into the waiver kiosk.
    • The waiver kiosk now accepts emails with capital letters.
    • Fixed an issue that incorrectly notified some venues that they were not licensed to use the Waiver Kiosk.
  • Waivers
    • Custom forms can correctly be removed from waivers.
    • Custom forms can correctly be added to waivers.
    • Resolved an issue that prevented some completed waivers from being emailed to guests, when the waiver email was manually triggered from Venue Manager.

Manage

  • Confirmation Emails -  Enhanced the confirmation email functionality to be able to accommodate confirmation tickets with Master tickets for large-volume bookings.
  • Copy update -  Replaced the word 'locations' with 'resources' in emails and knowledge base articles to avoid confusion.
  • Daily Capacity View - Resolved an issue where changes to a schedule resulted in bookings not accurately displaying in the daily capacity view.
  • Party packages
    • Enhanced the product set-up to allow venues to add a reporting category for a party package.
    • Fixed a challenge where bookings were booked during buffer periods which could result in overbookings for some venues.
  • HQ Reporting - Settled an inconsistency where reports for daily venues revenue handled daylight savings times incorrectly.
  • Venue Manager -  Corrected a display error where some form fields were not displaying saved information despite saving correctly in Venue Manager.

Market

  • Gift cards - Fixed an issue that sent duplicate receipt emails to guests when they shared a gift card.
  • GX Score
    • Overcame a challenge that prevented the preview button from working at times.
    • The download QR code button within the settings area of GX Score is now downloading again.
    • Resolved an issue that prevented some daily snapshot and response notification emails from being sent to staff.
  • Email templates - File attachments were not able to be added to email templates, this has been resolved

Open your doors to more guests with alternative language Waivers!

To grow your advocacy, it is important to have satisfied guests. However, when waivers are a requirement to enter it can be difficult to make a great first impression. Waivers are tedious and impact the guest's experience - especially when guests don't know how to read the language of the waiver. 

The misalignment between waiver language and guest language can also result in confusion and even lost ticket sales. Until now!

With our new alternative language Waiver update, you can:

  • Add alternative language versions of your waiver via Venue Manager
  • Guests will be auto-presented with your waiver in their native language
  • Guests can always choose their preferred language for your waiver
  • Regardless of online waiver forms, Waiver Kiosk, or Self-Serve Kiosk

Streamline POS and SSK device management with HQ templates

Designed to save time and ensure consistency across your managed venue's POS and SSK devices, HQ-managed templates significantly simplify device management.

By leveraging the power of HQ-managed device templates, you can:

  1. Save precious time by managing all device templates from your HQ account, eliminating the need to update each venue's templates individually.
  2. Ensure consistency across all managed venues, ensuring centralised staff training programs are more effective and making it easier for staff to navigate and use POS and SSK devices.
  3. Improve the guest experience by maintaining up-to-date product offerings and pricing across all devices.
  4. Publish new products or promotions rapidly across all managed venues with minimal effort.

To begin, sign in to your HQ account and go to Apps > POS Templates or SSK Templates. From there, create your desired template, specify the venues it should be available for, and add your menus and products. 

Once you hit save, the HQ-managed template will be instantly accessible for all specified managed venues' devices. Whenever you update the HQ-managed template, all linked devices across all venues will be automatically synchronized and updated ✨.

HQ-managed device templates are now available for all customers subscribed to a HQ Pro plan.
