Open your doors to more guests with alternative language Waivers!

To grow your advocacy, it is important to have satisfied guests. However, when waivers are a requirement to enter it can be difficult to make a great first impression. Waivers are tedious and impact the guest's experience - especially when guests don't know how to read the language of the waiver. 

The misalignment between waiver language and guest language can also result in confusion and even lost ticket sales. Until now!

With our new alternative language Waiver update, you can:

  • Add alternative language versions of your waiver via Venue Manager
  • Guests will be auto-presented with your waiver in their native language
  • Guests can always choose their preferred language for your waiver
  • Regardless of online waiver forms, Waiver Kiosk, or Self-Serve Kiosk

The following updates, enhancements and fixes have been deployed:

Sell

  • Membership Reactivation -  Enhancement to make it easier to reactivate individual or multiple memberships in Venue Manager on the Members page(Guests->Members)
  • Progressive Checkout - Resoved an issue where guests were able to select a lower amount of tickets than what was configured as the minimum amount of tickets for a product
  • Progressive Checkout - Enhancement to support recurring session passes on the progressive checkout
  • Progressive Checkout - Solved an issue where GA tracking was not working as expected when the overlay checkout was embedded in an iframe
  • Progressive Checkout - Enhanced the "from" functionality to not display $0.00 values, and added in the option for Venues to disable the "from" functionality in Venue Manager
  • Progressive Checkout - Fixed a problem where fixed cost memberships with a future redemption date in date-led progressive checkout were not working as expected
  • Progressive Checkout - Calender enhancements for party packages availability
  • POS - Resolved an issue where a discount was not applied correctly to a modifier 

Serve

  • Bookings - Enhanced bookings to better determine the ticket-holder name.
  • Guest flagging - Resolved an issue where some users were not able to flag guests, even though they had correct role permissions assigned.
  • GX Score Guest Insights Dashboard - Fixed the learn more button on the industry benchmarks panel not navigating to the correct place. 
  • Online Waivers - Fixed an issue where an unexpected error message would appear under the Minor's Date of Birth field whenever any other field was incorrectly filled, despite the Date of Birth field being correctly filled.
  • Waiver Translations - Enhanced Waiver Kiosk, Online Waivers, and Self-Serve Kiosk to be appropriately translated.
  • Waiver Kiosk - Enhanced the waiver kiosk to enable capitalized email addresses.

Manage

  • Alternate address - Fixed an issue preventing users from disabling alternative addresses for products
  • API - Added "Payment Method Variant" to payments API endpoint to allow filtering by payment method
  • Blocked capacity - Enhancement to show when and who added each blocked capacity entry for greater security and auditing
  • Bookings - Improved warning message when moving a booking date to a day with no availability
  • Booking search - Fixed a defect where dates were displayed incorrectly in the search flyout
  • Consecutive sessions - Solved an issue with consecutive session prices for Venue Manager bookings
  • Custom roles - Fixed a problem preventing staff with custom roles from editing progressive checkouts
  • Discounts - Resolved an issue preventing some users from viewing discount usage
  • Guest export - Added date of birth to the guest export
  • HQ permissions - Introducing permission groups for HQ accounts to simplify & streamline venue permissions
  • HQ products - Resolved an issue preventing product descriptions from having edit access restricted
  • HQ products - Updated products menu to hide options not relevant to HQ accounts
  • Invoices - Fixed an issue where tax was displayed incorrectly on invoices for discounted bookings

  • Terminal tipping - Fixed an issue with terminal tipping reporting

  • User permissions - Added new user permission which restricts access to edit waivers

  • Downloading reports - Fixed a problem stopping report download notifications from appearing
  • Payout Export - Solved an issue where ROLLER Payment funds were incorrectly showing as Other Gateway Funds Received

Streamline POS and SSK device management with HQ templates

Designed to save time and ensure consistency across your managed venue's POS and SSK devices, HQ-managed templates significantly simplify device management.

By leveraging the power of HQ-managed device templates, you can:

  1. Save precious time by managing all device templates from your HQ account, eliminating the need to update each venue's templates individually.
  2. Ensure consistency across all managed venues, ensuring centralised staff training programs are more effective and making it easier for staff to navigate and use POS and SSK devices.
  3. Improve the guest experience by maintaining up-to-date product offerings and pricing across all devices.
  4. Publish new products or promotions rapidly across all managed venues with minimal effort.

To begin, sign in to your HQ account and go to Apps > POS Templates or SSK Templates. From there, create your desired template, specify the venues it should be available for, and add your menus and products. 

Once you hit save, the HQ-managed template will be instantly accessible for all specified managed venues' devices. Whenever you update the HQ-managed template, all linked devices across all venues will be automatically synchronized and updated ✨.

HQ-managed device templates are now available for all customers subscribed to a HQ Pro plan.

  • Activity stream - Fixed a problem where the reference ID for recurring payment charges wasn't displaying as expected in Venue Manage booking activity streams
  • Companies - Resolved an issue when updating the contact number for a company
  • Duplicate payments - Fixed a problem affecting a small number of POS payments which resulted in duplicated charges
  • Forms - Resolved a challenge with forms linked to products within packages not displaying in Venue Manager bookings
  • Forms - Improved security to file uploads in forms by restricting supported file types

  • Sales tax report - resolved an issue where tax rates with three decimal places were being reflected incorrectly
  • Gross sales figures - Gross sales figures in all reports will now reflect simply the total recognised revenue including taxes. Previously the figure would also be before discounts

Stay informed with new security alerts

We know that security is a top priority for your business, so we've added new security alerts to notify owners and management when a staff member is granted administrator access to your ROLLER account.


As soon as a new staff member is given administrator access, ROLLER will send an email alert to your Technical Contact(s) which includes all of the key information, such as who the new staff member is and which staff member granted the access. This keeps you informed of who has access and allows you to quickly take action and revoke access if required.

In order to receive these security alerts, you first need to ensure you have a Technical Contact set up for your venue. Visit our Help Center to learn how to set up your venue contacts.
