Platform Release Now Available - 29th August


🎉 🎉  We're very excited to introduce our newest feature...ROLLER Playground - a sandbox version of the platform that allows you to trial new features, test product configuration as well as start training new staff on a duplicate & demo environment without affecting the business's live account.

How do I activate this?  This is automatically turned on for all platforms. To learn more, read the Knowledge Base article.

  • Update waivers in platform - Say goodbye to the waiver update form…we’ve exposed the ability to create new waiver versions directly in the platform, there is also access to historic versions and design updates to Waiver Kiosk settings. To find out more information, read our Waiver guidelines, history and configuration articles | How do I activate this?  This is automatically available to all Waiver and/or Waiver Kiosk customers
  • UI updates to Account Settings - To improve usability, the Settings pages and some submenu items have been updated, you will be able to see the updates on the Settings page of the platform or find out more via the Knowledge Base. Please note that Venue Manager site map has been updated | How do I activate this?  Update is automatic
  • Ability to customise opt-in message - the message to accompany the subscription checkbox can now be edited as you like, please read the Knowledge Base article to find out more. | How do I activate this?  This is available on the platform, to edit this, please visit the Policy page
  • Require waivers to be attached prior to completing a transaction - this is optional and if activated means that new bookings via POS cannot be completed without all waivers being attached | How do I activate this?  Please log a ticket to have this enabled in platform

Platform Release Now Available - 15th August

This week, we're launching a new product...Recurring Passes! This allows venues to create term based classes or programs such as skill based or fitness activities that occur regularly. For example, the venue can now sell a 'Flips and Tricks' one-hour session every week at 5:30 pm on Fridays, available for the next 3 months.

With Recurring Passes, you can encourage repeat visits by collecting funds upfront, whilst reducing operational costs and manual processes. Watch our video 👇

ROLLER Mail is an email marketing tool that helps you create beautiful & powerful e-campaigns to engage with your subscribers. Promote offers, products and upcoming events to your database to boost the bottom line!

With our integration, you can automatically send opted-in customers from your ROLLER platform and filter them into different lists to target specific individuals. Build journeys around customer behaviours such as attendance to encourage repeat visits or to get feedback. Watch the video below 👇

Platform Release Now Available - 18th July

  • Addition of ‘Accept Marketing’ checkbox in POS - We’ve added a field so new customers in POS can be opted in to the marketing database, please note an email address is required at a minimum. Click here to see the update. How do I activate this?  No action is required, this is automatically updated
  • New option for marketing opt-in checkbox for Checkout flow - Added customisation, clients can now decide whether their opt in is pre-ticked or not. For GDPR compliant clients, please note, it should kept as the default which is unticked. How do I activate this?  Read our article here to adjust this setting
  • Update to Add ons and Stock buttons - We’ve updated all our buttons such as the ‘Publish’ button to be consistent with our current style guide. How do I activate this?  No action required.

Platform Release Now Available - 6th June

🥁 🥁 🥁 Drumroll please...We're excited to announce that our New Navigation is available for you to trial. To ease the transition, this update includes the ability to toggle between the current navigation and the new version. Please watch the video below on how to activate the beta mode of our new navigation 👇


New Navigation Beta - The design involves reorganising pages into a more user-friendly site architecture & structure to improve findability, usability and the general user experience of navigating the platform. How do I activate this? This is available to all users and platforms to try. We highly recommend that everyone gets familiar with the new site map and provide feedback feedback where necessary.

Please note: we will give you advance notice and let you know ahead of time when the Beta switch will be removed & when this change will be made permanent. For step by step instructions, please read our Knowledge Base article

  • ’Accept Marketing’ for online checkout and waivers - We’ve updated Accept Marketing options and split the options into two so that your venue’s platform can have further customisations. You can check both to capture data through both or only check one and not the other. How do I activate this? This update is rolled out to all platforms and your settings will remain as previously set. If you want to adjust this, read our Knowledge Base article and edit this from the Account Details page
  • Edit ‘Accept Marketing’ field in customer records - If you speak to a customer who would like to change their opt in status, you can now manage this from the Venue Manager by editing their customer record. Platform Release Now Available - 28th May

📌 With our communications last week on the new navigation, please note we have now revised the release date to the week of June 6th. Please remember:

  • The current navigation will be the default setting with the option to toggle between the two to view the new design so that you can use ROLLER Venue Manager as you're accustomed to, but also allow you to trial the redesign and retrain prior to the permanent switch over 
  • With the update, ROLLER will provide you with accompanying articles on the sitemap, how to switch between the two and a timeline
  • The update will improve findability, usability and the general user experience of navigating the platform

  • Updates to Venue Manager -  We’ve made some updates to the platform header and have added an in-platform support tab to link to our Knowledge Base & Support, Platform Status, and Release Notes. This also allows you to look up articles while using Venue Manager. How do I activate this? All platforms have been automatically updated with this
  • Booking Holder Functionality -  We’ve made updates to the UX and functionality of searching for existing customers, updating their record and change the booking holder with ease. How do I activate this?  The update is live on all platforms. You can read our Knowledge Base article here
  • EMBED Integration -  EMBED offers cashless payment systems allowing the issue of value cards to be used, for example, on gaming machines. Clients utilising EMBED can now redeem cards on stock items using our POS system with this integration.
