What's new — April 2025

This month, we’re streamlining party management for both guests and staff. Next up, you can set minimum and maximum limits for how many session pass tickets guests can book, enabling smarter upsells and better group management. And, keep an eye out for the refreshed package setup UI in Venue Manager. We’ve also got some compliance updates and an improvement to the guest segmentation export.

Sell

  • Memberships: For US venues, when a membership is sold via the online checkout, guests will be presented with a confirmation box to confirm the membership subscription they are entering into. Venues can configure terms & conditions and cancellation wording on their membership products.
  • Mobile F&B Checkout: Resolved a visual glitch that made it difficult to use the checkout.
  • Online Checkout: Fixed an issue that prevented consecutive sessions from being purchased for the correct session times.
  • POS: Resolved an error that caused operators to receive a Fiscal error (requesting guest details) when making a purchase.
  • Self-serve Kiosk: Fixed a bug that caused product names to extend past the product add-on box when using Self-Serve Kiosk in desktop mode.

Serve

  • Capacity view
    • Capacity usage in Conqueror that hasn't originated from ROLLER is displayed on Capacity View.
    • Capacity view supports drag and drop updates for multi-resource bookings.
  • Email Templates: To improve email security and deliverability, ROLLER blocks the use of shortened URLs in Email Templates.
  • Forms: The BookingOwner fields provided via Forms are correctly captured in the guest accounts.
  • Gift Cards: Gift card status remains as Valid when POS is set to "Auto Check-In on Purchase".
  • Memberships: Fix to validate expired membership code usage in online checkout.
  • Resellers: There is a new configuration available to automatically cancel unpaid Groupon bookings.
  •  Waiver app: Malay (ms-my) language now supported.

Market

  • Campaign Monitor: Integration settings error messages have been improved for Campaign Monitor when no lists are found.
  • Discounts: Buy and Get HQ Discount Codes work when more than one stock variation is in a cart.
  • Emails
    • Fixed the salutation in Payment Receipts email if Booking.FirstName is used.
    • Order confirmation email displays the form name when Form.Name is used in the template.
    • Order confirmation email uses the Phone and Email of the alternative address, if provided in product configuration.
  • Guest records: For Guest > Company, the Primary Contact Email is now displayed as the Email in the summary for Company records.
  • Exports: Address details have been added to the Segmentation export.

  • Exports
    • “Contact Name” is now available when exporting bookings from Venue Manager.
    • Resolved an issue with links to open or download Scheduled Reports.
  • HQ
    • Resolved an issue where HQ Roles were duplicated on cloned venues.
    • HQ Discounts removed from Controlled Venues now correctly appear as archived.
  • Party Packages
    • Fixed incorrect overbooking behavior when editing ticket quantities on Party Package bookings.
    • Individual packages can now be refunded correctly in VM when multiple of the same package were purchased.
  • POS: Resolved rounding issue where a one-cent balance remained on bookings due to 3-decimal-point tax rates.
  • Pricing rules: Fixed issue where editing a CX3-created booking in VM caused quantity-based price rules to be skipped.
  • Schedules: Fixed “Session has been removed from Schedule” error when editing historical bookings with all modification options enabled.
  • Staff
    • Staff Addition form now clears submitted data and errors between entries without requiring a page refresh.
    • Fixed an issue preventing selection of the “Booking Agent” role when creating staff accounts.

  • Payments: To improve payment security for online payments, localisation updates have been made when requesting postal code input for credit card payments via Online Checkout.

    • Fixed an issue that prevented more than 12 stock items from being selected in print station settings.
    • Resolved a bug that prevented the table name from appearing on a docket for stock products added to an existing tab.
  • Memberships: Resolved a graphical bug that caused memberships to display as "Current" despite being expired.
  • Online accounts: Resolved a bug that prevented some guests from updating card details.
  • Online Checkout: Fixed an error that caused consecutive sessions to appear as available despite a lack of future availability for the additional sessions.
  • POS: Resolved an issue that caused barcode scanners not to add a stock product to the cart after the barcode was scanned.

  • Mobile check-in: Fixed occasional MCI load issue.
  • POS
    • POS - Can now require attaching a waiver to a ticket when taking split payments.
    • Cash in/Cash out updated fixed. Venues advised to reload their browser if the Submit action is still disabled.
    • Package purchased at POS now prompts for a waiver on all tickets included in the package.
    • Fixed POS Operator so that staff are unable to reschedule bookings in POS.
  • Template studio: Booking payment receipt PDF is available on Template Studio to support translations and customisations.
  • Waivers: Existing waiver holders are no longer asked to complete the waiver again (online waiver link).

  • Discounts
    • Discount code booking and redemption date restrictions allow a single date.
    • Membership discounts configuration simplified by including 'unlimited' in the selection options.
    • Fixed an issue where discount codes are dropping from bookings when a booking is edited.
    • Discounts allow 0.00 amount to allow for tracking of community campaigns using unique codes.
    • Buy and Get HQ discount codes fixed when selecting more than one stock variation.
    • "Maximum possible discount" is available when filtering by "Gift cards" or "All products".

    • Buy & Get fixed amount discount code automatically scales as items are added to the cart.
    • Membership discounts prioritize the lowest-value item in bookings.

    • Fixed-amount discount calculations are correctly applied to packages.
    • Fix so users can import codes via CSV for existing discounts.

What's new — January 2025

It’s a new year and we’re kicking it off in style with updates to make your POS operations run smoothly and quickly, make setting membership discounts for promotions and special events even easier and enhancements that will increase your checkout conversion rates.

  • It’s now easier than ever to get waivers sent and signed from POS! As you create a new booking in POS, you’ll be directed to request or assign a waiver to each ticket that requires one before processing payment.
  • We’ve added a new Per Member option for your membership discounts. You can set a total redemption limit per member for the lifetime of their membership, rather than relying on time-based limits. 
  • Reduce “clicks” and increase conversion rates with the newest overlay checkout enhancement. You can now send guests directly to a specific product, date and session time in the checkout (eg 1-hour jump pass on Monday 24 February at 2 pm).
  • We’ve enhanced online checkouts to redirect to the products list page if a homepage hasn’t been configured, leading to a better guest experience and better conversion rates.

  • Digital Wallets: Solved a blocker that prevented Apple Wallets from being added to iPhone devices.
  • Cloud printing
    • Cloud printing has been enhanced to efficiently route print jobs, reducing the time taken to print.
    • An Activity Centre notification will appear if cloud printing is unable to route to a printer - requiring the reconfiguration of printers.
    • You can now configure which stock product purchases are sent to cloud printers / KDS devices based on the sales channel they were purchased. e.g. If you want soft-drink purchases to only print when purchased via Mobile F&B Ordering, and not when purchased at POS. 
  • Gift Cards
    • Resolved a visual issue that prevented the gift card expiry date from showing when looking at a booking in Venue Manager.
    • Sales channels now correctly prevent custom discounts from being applicable to gift card purchases. An alternative gift card value should be used in these situations instead.
    • Resolved a display problem that caused gift cards to appear as expired in Venue Manager.
    • Fixed an issue where gift cards with short-lengthed codes would cause glitches in POS.
  • Legacy Checkout: Legacy Checkout no longer shows sessions as "Sold out" when part of the products session times were blocked out.
  • Online Accounts
    • Enhanced various areas of the platform that were stopping Online Accounts verification emails to be sent to guests, preventing them from creating online accounts.
    • Resolved an error that prevented guests from rescheduling their sessions if addon product types were included in the booking.
    • Fixed an edge-case display issue where a booking modification for a company booking was not reflected in Venue Manager.
    • Overcame a challenge that prevented guests from rescheduling session passes if a ticket had a $0 cost.
    • Resolved various edge-cases that prevented guests from modifying their booking.
    • Bookings with package products can now be modified by guests via Online Accounts.
    • Fixed an issue that caused country codes to show incorrectly when a guest had created an online account, making the guests contact number to be unreachable.
  • POS
    • Resolved an issue that caused the availability quantity to dissapear from POS tiles.
    • Fixed an issue for POS Compact view, where tiles could overlap.
    • Resolved a problem where stock items that had no modifiers were missing the notes field.
    • Overcame a challenge that caused search to not filter stock variations correctly.
    • Packages correctly show each ticket as a separate line, instead of being grouped by product.
    • Staff roles that don't have "Can cash in/out POS tills" enabled are no longer prompted to enter manager pin when clicking Open till button.
    • Cash refunds can no longer be issues for amounts higher than the booking total.
    • Fixed an issue that prevented the 'Email Receipt' and 'Reprint receipt(s)' buttons from appearing.
    • Fixed a display issue that caused the till variance to highlight in yellow when there was no variance.
    • You can now automatically populate POS menus using tags that are assigned to products. This means the product selection can be kept in sync across all your sales channels centrally within the product. 
  • Product Availability: Resolved an edge-case issue that caused package products to be available for purchase when there was no capacity.
  • Progressive Checkout
    • Fixed an edge-case issue for french-configured venues, that caused checkout dates to show in french, despite the checkout language being English.
    • Resolved various fringe bugs that caused guests to be able to book whilst no capacity was available.
    • When purchasing gift cards, the address field now correctly populates post-code when an address is auto-filled.
    • Fixed a glitch that sometimes required a guest to click the session time twice before it was actually selected.
    • Resolved a scenario where a discount was included and removed from the cart, which caused the total amount to appear as incorrectly calculated.
    • Fixed an issue that prevented changes to the checkout from being saved.
    • The checkout has been enhanced to better represent when capacity is "Filling up fast" to drive checkout purchase behavior.
    • Fixed an issue that prevented the "Call to book" message from displaying when party packages were selected on a product-led checkout.
    • Enhanced the calculation of add-ons product types, to better reflect the available capacity and available booking dates.
    • Enhanced the checkout to significantly improve loading speeds when using custom domains.
    • Enhanced the checkout to improve accessibility for screen readers and visual impairments - in line with WCAG 2.2 AA and ADA standards.
    • Updated the cart summary so that it is more clear how much amount is remaining for payment after a deposit is made. 
  • Wallet Product
    • Resolved a scenario that caused wallets to expire despite being configured to not expire.
    • Fixed an issue that caused bookings with multiple wallets included to have the wallet balances bound together.

Serve

  • Discounts: Fixed issue where purchase discounts from HQ venues were not sending the email with the discount code upon booking.
  • Waivers
    • Fixed issue where waivers were detached during the booking flow on POS when the “Create separate items for Packages” meta was enabled for bookings containing multiple packages.
    • Implemented validation in the form builder to prevent duplicate data bindings, ensuring that form designs do not contain repeated bindings.
    • Fixed issue where waivers signed with email addresses containing an underscore (”_”) were not returned in POS or the guest waiver page in Venue Manager.
  • POS: Enabled customers to redeem multiple memberships in a single transaction at POS to streamline the checkout process and enhance guest experience.
  • Reports: Added a filter for Cashless Card products in Reportx, allowing users to easily locate these items in the reports.
  • Mobile Check-in
    • Improved scanning speed for tickets with the “Auto-open” feature enabled in MCI, addressing performance delays reported by users. 
    • Resolved issue preventing booking synchronization on Mobile Check-in (MCI) which was causing 504 errors. 
  • Google Analytics: Resolved a Google Analytics conversion tracking issue, ensuring accurate reporting of purchases by moving the onPurchase event to trigger immediately after payment completion.

Market

  • Memberships: Fixed issue where the Membership cancellation pending email template was not populating the membership cancellation date.
  • Discounts: Fixed issue where discount codes could not be reused after being applied to a canceled booking.

Manage

  • Activity Center: You'll now receive automatic alerts in the activity center when a banned guest books online using the same email or phone number stored in ROLLER.
  • API: Guest gender field added to Create Booking & Get Customer Detail endpoints.
  • Daily capacity: Fixed an issue with Daily capacity view multiplying the bookings spanning across multiple days.

    • Fixed an issue with midnight sessions showing up as undefined in Progressive Checkout.
